A Second Season for the Real Housewives of Miami

There is everything going for the program and the Real Housewives of Miami will be getting a secondary shot at fame with their reality television antics. The second season pickup is designed to boost the ratings and ensure that the network is right up there with the rest of them. Bravo seems to have enjoyed the sojourn in the sunshine state and they are coming back for more. Nevertheless they will be worried about the fact that the viewing figures are falling. The persistence on extensive reality television might come at a very high cost.

Feeding the public some second rate programs

When the concept was first unveiled, we were all excited at the prospect of a social experiment that tells us more about who we are and the aspirations that we hold. Over time we realized that there was something fundamentally wrong about the Real Housewives of Miami. To begin with there was nothing real about this reality television. They picked a bunch of photogenic people who were required to come up with sensationalist storylines in order to keep the crowd hooked onto the things that they were doing. The bombshells kept coming and the viewing figures kept declining.

The premise of the program is to look at the lives of rich women within the locality. The original cast of the Real Housewives of Miami has been significantly reduced in the new season. They are going to use Marysol Patton, Lea Black and Adriana De Moura. Other members of the team will be announced at a later stage. The producers are hoping that the new format is likely to earn the respect of the public and will silence some of the critics that have been less than complimentary about the program. It is a perfect chance to change things around.
