A Recap on Glee Including Shocking Scenes and Plotlines

February 2, 2012 by: 0

There were exactly 11 shocking moments in the popular program that is Glee. The ability to attract A-List celebrities is one of the reasons for success. Other critics point out the fact that many of the stories appear to be moralistic and most viewers are not prepared to be preached to during a program that is supposed to be entertaining. In any case there is ample evidence to show that the public loves the attention. That is why the ratings continue to increase for this program even as rival items lose the momentum.

From a MJ Tribute to drugs

It has been the season of shockers for this program. When the King of Pop died, there were rumors that they were going to do a tribute episode. At the end of the day Michael Jackson was of that generation that made entertainment an art form. One hour was needed for the tribute to be completed under which the New Directions battled with the Academy Warblers. Apparently they were hoping for the chance to perform at the King of Pop music regionals. During the episodes Rachel and Kurt were portrayed as the hardworking members of the group that were striving to achieve their ambitious goals. One of the most amazing things about this program is its ability to touch difficult themes using humanity as the driving force. There is nothing conceited about Glee and yet it manages to stab at the public conscience.

The tour begins with Blain and his high powered vocals. He is backed by Mercedes, Santana, Brittany and Kurt. Some critics have credited this episode as being the best in this season. The combination of dance and drama is simply irresistible and it sometimes makes us forget the various clichés that have become the currency of the program. Sebastian is the bad guy in a program that has be criticized for being to saccharine. However any viewers will welcome the opportunity to see something different from the program after some fairly mundane parodies.

Mike and Artie were really camp in their rendition of the Scream segment. During that episode Artie manages to ditch his wheelchair. The emotion was palpable and many would agree that this was a highlight for Glee. Quinn is another favorite of ours because she seems to be fighting virtually every stereotype going. A great essay ensures that she is on the waiting list for Yale but one is not entirely sure as to whether this is some form of affliction on that august institution. There are relationships, love, hate and pastiche in the performances. That is precisely why we are in love with the program and its characters. If they can throw in a celebrity then everything will go smoothly. So far the action has been interesting with various plots being handles simultaneously. The danger is that there could be very limited time for dealing with everything effectively. For the most part the plots are not that inspiring but the acting and music turn them into something that is worthwhile.
