Untethered Jailbreak iPhone 4S and iPad 2 On iOS 5.0 / 5.0.1 Using Absinthe ( Mac OS X )

Chronic Dev Team released Absinthe, a program for Mac OS X with the help of which we can do a untethered jailbreak for iPhone 4S and iPad 2 tablet.

The program is pretty stable and easy to use, basically all we have to do is press one button and the application implements the jailbreak solution without other complications.

This program works only on the iPhone 4S with iOS 5.0 / 5.0.1 ( regardless of the build ) and with the iPad 2 tablet with iOS 5.0.1 installed.

If you have a iPhone 4S and you need to unlock then do not update to iOS 5.0.1, you should only jailbreak with Absinthe.

The Windows version will be released in the near future.

Step 1

Download Absinthe

Step 2

Connect your Apple device to your Mac and open Absinthe and then press the jailbreak button. The process should last approximately 5 minutes.

Step 3

The program will go through the steps below during which your terminal is being prepared for jailbreak.

When you see the message below on the screen you should unlock your terminal using Slide to Unlock and open Absinthe from the Homescreen. After you open it turn it off and wait for the jailbreak to be implemented and your device will restart.

After the restart you will have Cydia installed and jailbreak should be implemented.
