A recent advertisement was accidently placed on the Consumer Electronic Show’s CNET page that shows the Galaxy Nexus with Sprint logo and the heading reads the first 4G LTE phone from the carrier. The phone has been available on Verizon Wireless as an exclusive. Sprint has made sure that there is no confusion among the crowed by highlighting their new 4G LTE service. Sprint has declined to comment on anything relating to the release of the phone arriving on the carrier and their new network.
Sprint may have not commented on the ad, but it is quite obvious that the phone is going to highlight the new 4G LTE network from Sprint. The CEO of the company has already announced that the carrier plans to make its new 4G LTE network available to as much as 10 cities during the Q1 of 2012. The announcement also suggested many devices making their way to the new network, and since the new Galaxy Nexus is quite popular, it is only inevitable that Sprint will get this handset to highlight their new network. The company has also previously said that more devices will be added to the network in Q2 of 2012.
The Galaxy Nexus is the first and only phone to have the latest version of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich, and this is why it could make a great new start for the carrier’s new service. The phone has been welcomed by critics and users alike due to its completely revamped interface and some interesting new features added to the mix. Analysts predict that Sprint may be announcing the set to make its way to the carrier during this year’s CES. The company has no scheduled press conferences to be held in the event itself, but it is being predicted that they might make some major announcements this Monday.
The Galaxy Nexus is being eyes by other carriers to launch their own 4G LTE services as well. Verizon Wireless has already ensured that most of its upcoming phones will be supporting the new lightning fast network, so it is quite inevitable that Galaxy Nexus will also make its way to Verizon’s LTE startup.
