The House M.D series has been running on the DSiWare for quite some months now. This review will focus on the 5th and last episode of this series. The original House M.D game was supposed to be a full retail package for the Nintendo 3DS, but because of complexities, the publisher had to push the game to a digital form instead of retail. As a result we got a game that was divided into five parts and each part being unreasonably priced. House M.D series on the DSiWare has been a complete wreck, and finally after this episode, the game has come to an end.
One of the weirdest things about this game is its price, which on PC is less than $5 for all parts compiled, whereas on the DSiWare store, it is $7 for each part. This proves that there is a huge problem with how Nintendo prices its games. A lot of gamers prefer buying games on either Android or iPhone because they get a lot better titles than available on the DSiWare store, and most of all these titles cost 99 cents only.
Coming back to the House M.D review, the game has really been a bumpy road. All the five episodes in this series have tried to capture the spirit of the popular TV shot that it is based on. The players get to play several mini games based on the series, but these games are mostly simple and boring. The core formula hasn’t changed in this fifth episode of the game, and we are thankful that the series have finally come to an end. If the mini games that we get to play were more reasonably priced, this game would have been a little worthy of some praise, but due to its insanely high price for such mediocre mini games, its extremely hard to recommend this game to anyone.
For any House M.D fan, this game may have attached a lot of expectations, but it does not deliver anything true to the series except that it follows the story. It is highly recommended that you keep away from the game, if you really do wish to play it, play the PC version which is decently priced.
