This tutorial will show you how to get root on a LG Optimus One smartphone running on the Android 2.3.3 operating system.
Right from the beginning we want to say that this tutorial is for advanced users, so if you don’t have basic knowledge is not recommended that you try it. Even if you are a advanced user we recommend that you read the entire tutorial before starting, so you can get a idea about what needs to be done.
What you must install on your computer
Adb – you can download it from this address: http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html ( it’s recommended that you install it in C:\adb )
Optimus One Driver
Step 1
Activate USB Debugging on your phone from Settings > Application Settings > Developent

Open “cmd” on your computer ( start > run > cmd )
In Cmd enter the folder where the adb is installed and type the following command:
cd c:/adb/tools
After which execute the following commands:
adb devices
adb shell
echo 1 > /data/local/lge_adb.conf

Install SuperOneClick ( you can download it here: http://shortfuse.org/?p=41 )
Run the application, select psneuter at “Ecploit” and hit Root
At step 2 your screen will freeze so wait one minute after which disable and quickly reactive USB Debugging like described at Step 1. You will get a warning that it will not work on 2.3.3, ignore it and when you will be asked if you want to install su and busybox click on yes.

restart your phone

Install the “Superuser” application from the Market

Install any application that needs root and test if everything is alright. We have used Titanium Backup which can be found for free in the Android Market.
