Indian Canadian company Suneet Singh Tuli is the “Apple” in Asian version, creating the cheapest tablet in the world, for the moment only dedicated to college students in Indian universities.
Suneet Singh Tuli actually manages the Datawind British company, the winner of the public auction started by the India Government to produce this tablet.
The resulted product, Aakash Ubislate, pushes the limits of the low costs, being however capable of rendering Shakira videos.
Aakash is a project supported by the India Government and Tuli intends to release it on the market in December. Until now, more than 340,00 pre0orders were received for the new tablet.
Being available at a price of only 2,276 rupees ( 43 dollars ), Tuli intends to produce a revolution on the telecommunications market in India, by generalizing Internet access to hundred millions of people who already own a mobile phone but they do not have the financial means to purchase a company.
