Russia Says that Bombing Iran Will Have Unpredictable Consequences

Russia has said that any bombing of Iran from Israel will be a very serious mistake. The closest thing that Iran has to an ally is Russia, although the country supports the sanctions imposed by the United Nations against Iran.

Israel has said that a military attack against Iran is becoming more and more likely, although the country would like to forgo such an occurrence. The United Nations is expected to release a report later this week on Tehran’s nuclear research and the United States believes that the report will show that Iran is trying to build a nuclear bomb. The report will likely trigger another round of sanctions, but Israel could resort to an military air attack against the country.

There have been indications that the report will show that Pakistani and Russian scientists have been helping Iran with its nuclear program. According to a report from the Washington Post, Vyacheslav Danilenko was working for the Physics Research Center in Iran. Danilenko is a former Russian nuclear scientist.

Russia has been trying to get Iran to release more information about their nuclear program in order to make the international community a bit more comfortable with it. Russia even understands why the United States has concerns, but says that there isn’t any solid evidence that a nuclear bomb is what Iran is trying to build. Iran contends that its nuclear program is only for generating energy.

The United States believes that the report will show more evidence of Iran’s intentions, but also says that it will not likely produce the hard evidence that Russia wants to see. Israel, in the meantime, continues to contemplate a military strike against the country.

The report will show that a new chamber is being built that is the size of a double decker bus. Its design is the kind that would be used to test nuclear weapons. Iran also has enough uranium to build four weapons.
