LeTV smart TV By Lenovo Coming Up Soon

Amongst the lines of companies pushing smart TV at the forefront, Lenovo is the latest addition. The firm, based in China, revealed in an announcement that is has plans to uncover and launch its newest LeTV, accompanied by its cloud service in the first quarter of the upcoming year. The details of the LeTV were not technically provided by the company, which has sprung questions in the minds of people as to whether it will prove to be another victory of Google TV or will it be running a home grown operating system.

However, Lenovo’s ambitions of cloud service go beyond the serving of its newest LeTV only. The company is expecting to give all of its users a total of 200GB of remote storage capacity, which is sued to synchronize data automatically from different gadgets such as tablets, smartphones, laptops, personal computers and others. The new service will also end up harmonizing personal information and social networking credentials as well, says the company.

The cloud service will assist tablets and smartphones such as the newly announced S2010, LePad S2005 and S2007 range. These were announced in China early in the week and all of these will be supported by the cloud service. It however hasn’t been revealed by the company as to where the Lenovo LeTV will go up for sale.

If the Lenovo LeTV runs Google TV, Lenovo’s smart TV will be rather prepared for a less than famous and successful platform from Google. The first response to the first-gen operating system was average however, when the v2.0 was revealed by Google in October, the company became more confident in its platform. According to reports, LG and Samsung both are working with Google to launch Google TV based television sets. These sets are due to be launched early in the upcoming year.
