In this review, I will talk about Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, a collection of Metal Gear Solid games on the PlayStation 3.
Konami has packed 3 of the best Metal Gear Solid games in a single pack. The games Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence are all available on the disc with HD visuals. On the PlayStation 3, you also get to score Network Trophies for all the games. The Peace Walker has received extra features like multiplayer game mode and a camera control function through the analog stick. To find out more, read our review.
To start my review, I will talk about the design and features of the game.
With so many developers redoing some of the classics for the next generation consoles, Konami succeeds in most parts where others have failed. The gameplay of each Metal Gear Solid game has not been changed, but Konami has added a multiplayer game mode for Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, which is a very welcoming change. Konami has also done a great job with the visuals of the game, unlike other developers just using the HD tag; these games actually look pretty good.
Moving further down the review, if you compare the graphics of the original games with the HD games, you will instantly see a significant difference in the game’s visuals. Fans of the series can really relive the moments they have enjoyed while playing these games on HD visuals. You also get all these 3 games at a very affordable price of one disc, which is an excellent bargain for anyone. If you haven’t played the Metal Gear Solid series before, this is the best chance you will get to experience one of the best games ever created.
To finish my review, I would say that Metal Gear Solid HD is a great package that comes for a price of one. You get to play the one of the best game created on the consoles in redone HD graphics and an entirely new multiplayer mode, what else could you ask for?
