Facebook Is An Addiction

Facebook has gained so much popularity over the course of years that it is quite astonishing. People log on to Facebook every other minute to see if they have any new notifications, to check what others are uploading, to play game and to look at their friend’s pictures or stalk.

Facebook is being joined by many underage users, who are fully aware about the site. Sometimes they are able to get access and admission into the site themselves, while other times, they are helped by their parents.

There is a requirement on the website which says that people under the age of thirteen cannot join the website however, the fact of the matter is that millions of people who are under the age of thirteen are fully operative on the website, as a new report suggests.

According to the new report, hundreds of thousands of ten year olds have signed up for the social networking site and surprisingly, their parents are aware of their activities. The report suggests that 95 percent of the parents knew what their kids were up to, whereas 78 percent also lent a guiding hand to help their kids below the age of thirteen to join the website.

Many websites on the internet come with these restrictions (age) but now it has become really easy to break all such restrictions because parents are apparently providing a helping hand to do so. Facebook is able to gather a lot of attention and attract people towards it because wherever you go, you come across people talking about the site; something they did on the site, something they shared or something someone else shared. Therefore, those who are not on the site feel left out and that is a big reason for people joining the website; so that they can become a part of the crowd. Facebook is sort of an addiction as there is always an urge to check the website every now and then.
