According to a new conducted survey, Kindle Fire is being preferred more by consumers/shoppers and the increase of their preference is three times greater for the $199 worth Kindle Fire than the iPad. iPad has been the best selling tablet but it seems though as if people are more interested in spending less than going for expensive things.
According to Retrevo online survey which took into account 1000 Americans, a survey taken in October, revealed that 44% of the people were in favor of the 7 incher Kindle Fire tablet, which is 12 percent more than the preference of consumers for the 9.7 inches iPad, which costs $499. In the survey, another 44 percent said that they didn’t know what the Amazon tablet was about exactly.
The shipment of the new tablet by Amazon will begin on Tuesday, whereas the Nook Tablet will be available for shipment later in the upcoming week. The Nook Tablet is priced at $249. The survey however, which was conducted by Retrevo, was carried out before the announcement of Nook Tablet.
In April 2010, the first iPad was launched, while in the March of 2011, the second iPad, the iPad 2 was launched, and now put together, total sales of the tablet are in excess of 35 million.
Both, the iPad and iPad 2 have had a large lead over the other tablets prevailing in the market. They made their entry into the market quite earlier and retained nearly 60% of the world-wide market. However, the new survey suggests that people are interested more in a small sized tablet which has a low price tag attached to it. Amazon’s Kindle Fire is probably on its way to enter the list of hot gadgets of 2011 soon.
The Kindle Fire’s pre-orders were made available and according to reports, there have been more than 5 million pre-orders for the tablet. However, official statistics haven’t been released by Amazon.
