Xbox 360 Game Review: Just Dance 3

In this review, I will talk about Just Dance, a rhythm based game for the Xbox 360.

Just like any other dance game, Just Dance comes in a pure form. You don’t need to understand rocket science to play dance games; they are quite simple to understand just like games Guitar Hero, Space Invaders, Tetris and Pac Man. The game doesn’t ask anyone to be a killer dancer before trying to play; all it takes to play Just Dance is the will to dance. If you really love dancing, this game is made for you. To start my review, I will talk about the design and features of the game.

Just Dance 3 can easily be compared to Dance Central, another dancing game but with much tougher mechanics and harsh gameplay. Just Dance is so simple that anyone who likes to dance can play this game without worrying about anything. Just Dance 3 supports the use of Microsoft’s Kinect controller, but the game doesn’t really feel any different from its versions on other consoles. One of the best features Just Dance 3 offers is the on screen characters, unlike other games, the characters are filled with energy and great character.

Moving further down the review, Just Dance 3 visuals appear as neon and colorful, menus are well placed and easy to use most of all the use of Kinect does not cause frustration unlike on other games that it supports. The choreography of the game is its main highlight; the dancers on the screen are full of energy, well dressed and extremely talented. The dancers on screen wear attires according to the song playing in the background; this further adds fun to the environment of the game. In Just Dance 3, you can play with up to four players on the same screen. This local multiplayer option is extremely fun and great for family gameplay.

To finish off my review, I will say that Just Dance 3 is a great friendly dance game that anyone who enjoys dancing can pick up and play. Unlike its competitors, Just Dance does not ask you to be perfect; it just wants you to have pure fun.
