Research In Motion comes in and out of media for negative news mostly however, this time, it’s good news for the BlackBerry manufacturer as RIM, which is an Ontario based company, has been termed as the winner amongst job seekers. Research In Motion became the winner of the title after the results of a latest survey were revealed.
The survey was carried out by Randstad Canada, which is a recruitment firm. Research In Motion, a technology firm, was the topper in a total of six categories, out of ten. The categories in which the Canada based firm topped in were ‘attractiveness categories’, which included good ambience at work, quality training, progression in careers, among others, said Randstad Canada.
Other categories in which Research In Motion was the topper again were categories for best salary, solid management and interesting job opportunities.
Research In Motion has had to bear a lot of negativity in new times. The company had to deal with plunging of shares at the stock markets lately. Moreover, since PlayBook, launched by the company earlier, hasn’t been doing that great if compared with iPad 2 and other competitors, news were circling around regarding the company completely scrapping the production of the product. However, this news was denied by the BlackBerry maker, who said that it had no plans of cutting production of its PlayBook.
RIM had also announced in July that it will be slashing 2000 jobs to lower its costs. Moreover, some analysts have also considered RIM as a first option of takeover by one of the company’s competitors.
Other companies that made it to the list of Top 5 of Randstad Canada’s survey were McGill University, IBM Canada Ltd., Bombardier Inc. and Air Canada.
After some continuous weeks of negativity for BlackBerry manufacturer, this news reflects some sort of positivity for the tensed technology company.
