Saudi Arabian Religious Leader Offers $100,000 for the Kidnapping of an Israeli Soldier

There are a number of uses for Facebook. People keep in touch in with their family, try to promote their business, or talk to their friends. However, a Saudi Arabian cleric, or religious leader, has decided to use his Facebook page to tell the world that he will pay any Palestinian $100,000 who kidnaps an Israeli soldier.

The cleric’s name is Awad al-Qarni and he said that his offer is no different than one that was made by an Israeli family. That reward was offered for anyone who captures the person responsible for the death of one of the members of the family. Saudi Arabians are very familiar with Qarni, who is known for his outspoken and candid views on a variety of subjects. He believes that the money he offered is just the same as those who have offered money for the killing of any of the 1,000 Palestinian prisoners who were released last week.

Qarni posted on his Facebook account that he would pay the reward in order to have a Israeli prisoner to trade for the other Palestinian prisoners that are still being held by Israeli. He said that he has received a lot of support from many places and on his social network page. Qarni said during a television interview that he has received numerous letters from other countries in the Arab world. During that interview, Qarni spent a great deal of time speaking about how America began with prisoners from Irish and British prisoners and how the Jews are running the country. It was not an endearing speech to the United States.

Saudi Arabia has supported Palestinian rights, but lately the government has tried to quiet some of the Muslim clerics who have radical views on the continuing conflict between the Palestinians and the Israelis.
