In this review, I will talk about Dragon Nest, a free to play MMORPG for PC.
There have been a lot of MMORPG’s from Korea making their way to the western world. Dragon Nest is the newest MMO imported from Korea. The game is developed by Eyedentity Games, a studio known for producing really great titles. Dragon Nest is a pretty solid free to play MMORPG. The controls of the game are great, its combat is fast and fun and its 15 minute dungeon hunting with friends make a lot of sense. As for all free to play games, Dragon Nest does has its drawbacks. To find out more, read our review.
To start my review, I will talk about the design and features of the game.
While Dragon Nest is a fast and fun game, it does lack in its visuals. The art style of the game is cartoonish, much like World of Warcraft, but it seems that the development team did not work hard on it. Throughout the game you will see a lot of polygon counts, resulting in cheap looking graphics. The texture around the environment is also quite bland, mean you won’t really get to explore lush looking environments.
Moving further down the review, the real fun of the MMO starts when you venture into the game’s dungeons. The dungeon session usually lasts for 15 – 20 minutes. Each dungeon contains an end boss which drops valuable loot for all the team players. Dragon Nest has four different classes to choose from. When you reach level 15 in the game, your character branches extra 2 classes to choose from and that’s when the real powerful abilities start coming in. The combat in Dragon Nest is fun and exciting, you don’t just mash buttons, instead you will need to cleverly time your attacks and dodge whenever necessary.
To finish off my review, Dragon Nest is a really fun to play game. This should not be missed by any RPG fan, since also it’s free to play, you might as well try it out.
Dragon King
Not sure about the lacking in visuals part. I think the game looks pretty good already but I do agree that Dragon Nest is a fun game to play.
