In this review, I will talk about the Xperia Play 4G, the latest version in the Xperia Play phone franchise from Sony Ericsson.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play 4G doesn’t bring too many new changes to the phone, but hopefully the capability of connecting to 4G networks is easily the best addition to an already very powerful and good phone.
Today the Xperia Play may not be as powerful as the other new smartphones, but still it’s the same PlayStation Phone that we have grown to love. Gamers will definitely love this device. To find out more, read our review.
To start my review, I will talk about the design and features of the phone.
The Xperia Play 4G holds the same design of the previous version, but thankfully its outer color has changed a bit. The phone is now available in a darker blue color.
The phone is built using plastic at the back, but it easily gives the feeling of a very high quality built set. People who are buying this phone for the first time must know that the phone feels quite heavy in your hand, so if you aren’t buying this phone for games, then we suggest looking someplace else which is a bit light on hand.
Moving further down the review, the phone features a 4 inches LCD which gives excellent viewing angles paired with a resolution of 480 x 854.
The screen is quite bright and offers some of the best image quality results we have seen after the Samsung Galaxy S II. The real great deal about this phone is when you slide open it, you don’t get a QWERTY keyboard; instead you get a complete PlayStation controller with all its proprietary buttons and dual analog sticks.
The Dual Analog sticks are sensitive to touch so you don’t have to worry about anything bulging out of your phone.
To finish off my review, the Xperia Play 4G is a truly remarkable phone, it features some of the most hardcore hardware in smartphones while also providing you with a controller. For gamers, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play 4G is a must have.
