Many people in the tech world have been making comparisons between the new iPhone, iPhone 4S with phones released by Samsung, HTC and other products by different companies. However, have you ever wondered how much improved is the iPhone 4S if contrasted with its predecessor, the iPhone 4?
Despite the fact that people in general, fans, critics, investors and a greater proportion of largely everybody was disappointed by the release of iPhone 4S, as they were expecting Apple to release a much improved and changed iPhone 5, there are still some notable differences in the two phones. iPhone 4S’s features, which includes the new A5 processor, were highlighted over and over again after the launch of the new phone and rightly so as the new processor isn’t all about talks; it is more efficient and very fast.
According to reports, the new processor is definitely faster if compared with iPhone 4’s processor but if compared according to specifications, the new phone lags behind its brother, the iPad 2, but by just a few specs.
Gadget specialist, GeekBench, said that the benchmark score attained on iPhone 4S is 623, contrasted with the benchmark score of iPhone 4, which is 360. The benchmark score gives a representation of the processing speed and the memory performance of the phone. The report suggests that the latest unveiled phone of Apple is 68 percent faster than its predecessor, a number that is surely impressive. Many people knew that the new phone, since it is new, will come with some added features but many weren’t aware how better and improved it is than the iPhone 4.
Compared with the iPad 2, the iPhone 4S is slower than iPad 2. The benchmark score attained on the Apple iPad 2 by GeekBench is 751. Could this mean that Siri may be coming to Apple iPad 2 as well? You can never really say.
