The Nook Color by Barnes and Noble has been steadily dropping price over the last few weeks, but the latest price drop makes the eReader a real steal! For one day only, DailySteals has the Nook Color for only $149.99 and that includes shipping. It’s only available while supplies last and it for a refurbished model.

The refurbished Nook Color is very thin and light. It feels like it is solidly made. Just two months ago, refurbished Nook Colors were selling for $179.99. It’s a fantastic e-book reader, but half the fun of owning the Nook Color is changing it over to a full service Android tablet. It’s easy enough to do with an N2A card. That will give you access to tons more apps, including an app from Kindle so you’re not just limited to eBooks from Barnes and Nobel.

The new Amazon.com Kindle Fire just debuted last week for $199. It’s not known yet if the seven inch tablet will let you run the Nook app on it. However, the Fire is likely to be a much better tablet overall, but many people will not be quick to give up their Nook Color. Getting your hands on the Nook Color will give you a great starting point for browsing the web, reading books, playing games, Twitter/Facebook activity, writing emails, and other tasks. For $150, you really can’t go wrong.

The warranty for the refurbished Nook is just as good as the new one – it’s a year’s worth of warranty. The refurbished Nook Colors may continue to drop a few bucks each month, but Barnes & Noble has a new version of the Nook due out very soon. That could mean that the price on the original Nook Color could drop again in the coming months. Wouldn’t that be a great deal for anyone wanting a fantastic e-reader?
