The Monoprice 8247 has to be one of the leading gadgets in the technological world today. It has been praised by the reviews as one of the cheapest 5.1 speaker systems in the world and that comes in handy during the recession which is hitting Middle America. The package includes 4 small two-way satellite speakers which are supported by swivel wall-mounts. The practicability of the gadget has never been in question but we examine how the specifications match up.

Specifications: A Monoprice 8247 review shows that there is a center channel; and subwoofer system that accompanies the speakers. The latter is compact in its design and has measurements of 8”. The sounds that come out of the system are unbelievably good. You will feel as if you are sitting there listening to the music on a live basis. Of course it cannot sound bad pop into classical works. However the Monoprice 8247 gives you a faithful account of the things that are on tape. The predictions are that it will continue to remain a popular addition to the technology suite no matter where the market is going at the moment.

The brand values are exceptionally good and it would be amazing if they did not hit the right spot at the right time.  On the downside you may not like the finishing because it is plastic. There is something really tacky about the plastic but you have to consider the fact that the pricing strategy is very low compared to some of the competitors that we have seen. For comparative analysis you may want to look at the Energy Take Classic 5.1 as well as the Pioneer SP-PK21BS. They seem to be doing just fine at the moment although you will have to pay more.

Setting aside all the unrealistic expectations, you have to consider the Monoprice 8247 review in context of the fact that it costs less than $100. From any perspective this is an astonishing achievement. They are really working to ensure that the consumer has something to use without going through all the technical faults of the latest gadgets on the market. For that alone they deserve a very strong commendation. It is all about the sound and we must not forget to take the specifications from this point of view. In the end you have to consider whether the rivals would be able to approach that price given the fact that some of the speakers being offered are close to $5000.

Best Feature: The sound quality for the Monoprice 8247 has impressed the reviews and it remains the leading feature for this gadget. Ultimately this will be of utmost importance in the grand scheme of things.

Cons: The tacky plastic exterior is a no go area for people that imagine they have any test. We also find that the sound quality of the Monoprice 8247 speakers can become uneven at times.

Editor Rating: Taking a review of the Monoprice 8247 speakers showed that they deserve a rating of 4.5 stars out of 5. It may not be the most stylish gadget in the world but at least it is affordable and does the job.
