Phone Review: Blu Speed

In this review, I will talk about the Blu Speed, a dual sim phone featuring a QWERTY keypad.

The Blu Speed features tons of extra features that anyone can use and love. The Blu Speed is shaped like a BlackBerry phone due to its QWERTY keypad under the screen. Extra features include capability of installing 2 SIMS at the same time, giving you freedom to use 2 numbers on different networks at the same time. Other features include a front facing camera for video chatting, mini browser from Opera, Skype app, Wi-Fi capability, FM radio and a book reader. The only drawback of the phone is that it features very low quality build, which means you will have to get used to its cheap quality. To find out more read my review.

To start my review, I will talk about the features and design of the phone.

Blu Speed at its first glance looks like a common messaging phone, but when you start digging around its features, it is then you find out that the Blu Speed is much more than meets the eye. The design of the phone makes it easy and comfortable in the hand, especially due to its rounded edges. On its front, you get a 2.4 inches display that supports color dpi of 65k, paired with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. It isn’t one of the best screens available in the market, but it’s still plenty of bright to make the text easily readable. Using the phone’s options, you can adjust its brightness and many other options.

Moving further down the review, on its back, you get a 2.0 megapixel camera, which is good enough for taking profile photos, other than that you get an extra camera situated at the front near the screen, this can be used for video chatting. The highlight of the phone is it’s easy to use QWERTY keyboard, the keys are solid and sound responsive when you press them.  On top of this keyboard, you have other buttons and a track pad that can help you through the navigation process.

To finish my review, I would say that the Blu Speed is a great phone because it has tons of features. This phone will suit everyone including text enthusiasts. If you don’t like today’s smartphones, but still want a phone that has plenty of features, the Blu Speed is a great option for you to choose.
