Mobile Phone Review: HP Veer

September 28, 2011 by: 0

In this review, I will talk about the HP Veer, which is a 4G capable phone.

HP Veer boasts a very cute little design which is both compact and comfortable to hold. The Veer 4G runs on WebOS operating system, which is proven in the multitasking area and is capable of searching all your stuff on your phone via one search engine. The major drawback of the HP Veer 4G is its screen. The screen is so tiny that it is nearly impossible to do anything on it without making mistakes. The phone also requires a separate charger for it which does not work with any other USB charger, and even with the headphones, you will need to buy a separate pair that is forge especially for the Veer. To find out more, read our review.

To start my review, I will talk about the features and design of the phone.

HP announced three new devices that would be taking advantage of the WebOS system, which included the HP Veer 4G. The devices were presented in three distinct designs from small to medium to large. HP Veer 4G is the smallest of the three. This is why the HP Veer is extremely small in size, which also means that it is perhaps the cutest phone we have ever held in our hands. The phone packs a number of features that you can take advantage of. Although smaller phones have their own appeal, the HP Veer is a bit too small for a standard phone, which is why it is also a bit disappointing.

Moving further down the review, the HP Veer 4G features a screen of 2.6 inches with resolution of 320 x 400 pixels. This isn’t the brightest screen in the market, but thankfully it still offers you crispy images that make text reading really easy. The only problem with the screen is its size; it is so small that it becomes a real pain to navigate through the phone at times. But thanks to a sliding out QWERTY keyboard, things aren’t really as bad as they sound for typing.

To finish my review, I would say if you are a fan of small and cute looking phones, the HP Veer 4G is a great phone that fits into the cute category, plus it offers enough features for you to take advantage of. Just keep in mind you will get a really small screen with it.
