In this review, I will talk about LeapPad Explorer from LeapFrog.
Have you ever wanted a tablet especially designed for kids? LeapPad Explorer is a good alternative to all the Android based tablets and Apple iPad, especially for the kids. Christmas season is near and you probably want to buy something for your child. LeapFrog’s LeapPad Explorer is designed in such a way that your child can easily use it, this is the hottest toy this holiday season guaranteed. The 5 inches screen tablet is a great gift for children aged 4 and above. Your child is sure to find a lot of options to keep busy with this tablet. To find out more, read our review.
To start my review, I will discuss the features and design of the tablet.
LeapPad Explorer is a solid tablet which boasts a 5 inch screen running on 400 x 710 resolution. The tablet also has a built in camera which can record videos and take snapshots. Other features include a built in accelerometer and a app store of its own which has plenty of apps and games that will interest children. If your child has been insisting on buying a tablet, but does not know the price and durability of other tablets, your probably don’t want to hand over a fragile thing to a kid that is 4 years old. The LeapPad Explorer may not be as large as the Apple iPad, it also isn’t as expensive. The design and features are sure to please kids, whereas other tablets are mostly designed to please the adult audience.
Moving further down the review, the LeapPad Explorer comes in a size that a child can handle easily. The tablet includes a stylus with it, but you can use your fingers to navigate as well. Apps such as a drawing board are already included in the tablet, so you can let your children use the tab as a drawing pad too.
To finish off my review, the LeapPad Explorer from LeapFrog is a great toy for children; it not only keeps them busy, but also boasts apps that can be used to educate them. What better way to educate your children in a way that they would love too?

This device is amazing. The LeapSchool Reading app (purchased separately for about $25) really is helping my 3 year old to develop his writing skills. It encourages him by creating games where he has to use strokes in specific directions with the stylus to move different objects. One of the apps included is a pet app which encourages stylus use by giving your custom designed pet a bath, feeding it and playing an alphabet writing game with it. This pad is very useful as a tool for developing your child's reading writing and arithmetic skills from early stages until they're in first or second grade. The only thing I didn't like about it was it is too easy for your child to erase your previous saves in the games, and no way to recover the data once it's been erased. Other than that, this device is probably the best toy/learning tool you could possibly get for your child to help with their educational development.
without a mp3 player built in to it .. i believe that most parents and kids would like this device to have a mp3 player built in to it.. its very educational so kids can learn.. i think lead pad screwed up by not having mp3 player..it would of been the best present for christmas this year….
I agree. For me its a deal breaker. My son loves music, so i would like the idea oh having a mp3 player, camera, video, games, movies etc. i guess ill just wait until someone gets it right
mp3 player? kids have those in everything else these days, so its not needed. Besides, just about everything on the leappad has music or audio playing, so the mp3 music would get in the way,
The whole purpose of the product is to teach kids. Not to mess up the hearing and learning process.
