In this review, I will discuss about LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean game for Xbox 360. LEGO finally returns with another licensed game. After successfully making games on universes based on Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, Batman and Star Wars, LEGO has now ventured into Disney’s territory by offering a cute version of the loved Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean covers the story from all four movies, making sure that you get the same fun experience that made the other franchises so lovable in the LEGO format. The inclusion of the same formula from other LEGO games can at times be a good or bad thing. Read on the review to find out more.
To kick start my review, lets discuss what the game has to offer. From the very beginning you get the game started, you will instantly love the child friendly nature of the game, which undoubtedly fits pretty well in the franchise. Due to the child friendly nature of the game, most violent scenes from the movie have been excluded, but still the characters and the world seems pretty well justified.
Moving further down the review, LEGO pirates offer the same kind of dialogue sequences you have seen through the other games. The characters joyfully emit the emotions without saying words at all. During the first part of the game, which covers the first movie, the formula works very well, but when the story gets intense, you can tell that the game suffers and it becomes a challenge to tell the story.
Next in the review, lets discuss the gameplay. The gameplay here is again very simple, all you do is break LEGO blocks, find them and construct new stuff out of them, after all that is all what LEGO is about. 2 players co op is available, where both the players will be destroying objects and making new stuff out of them to access areas which were impossible to go previously.
To finish off my review, I would say that LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean offers that same great experience you would find in any other LEGO game, however if you have grown tired of the formula, then this game is not for you anymore. Fans of the franchise will still love to get this game.
