Lady Gaga is Going to Open the VMAs Topless

Over the years we have become somewhat immune to the shocking behavior that is associated with Lady Gaga. She is the singer that is not afraid to break the boundaries if it means that she gets to dominate the papers. Apparently she is not afraid to strip off. She performed topless at the piano as part of the promotional clip for the MTV Video Music Awards. Knowing the star, it is more than likely that she will repeat the feat on the live show. This is the person who once outraged the Animal Rights Lobby with her meat dress. Far from making her a pariah, the publicity ended up raising her profile to new heights. Her music is running off the shelves with millions of fans. Twitter and FaceBook are dying to have her on their promotional trails. In short Lady Gaga is the celebrity who likes to shock even though she is not known for wearing too many luxury items. The 25 year old strips off her black bra and performs a jazz version of “You & I”, her latest tune. She was dressed in black trousers and was spotting platinum blond curls.

The MTV Awards are going to be held on Sunday. The arty video is meant to show a different side to the event but it ended up being a promotional tour for Lady Gaga. A song sheet is imaginatively used in order to avoid outraging public decency. Not one for being shy, the singer looks straight at the camera in the middle of the MTV logo sign. On the 28^th of August, the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles will play host to the event. This is not the end of Lady Gaga’s involvement. She is on the nomination list for 4 VMAs and chances are that she will get at least one. They include Best Female Video and Video with a message. “Born this Way” is the hit that is likely to take her to the top of the award list. Her other nominations include Best Choreography and Art Direction for Judas.

The singer with definite fashion tastes

It must be said that Lady Gaga is not one to flaunt her wealth in luxury style but rather she tends to shock audiences. Her explanations are typically cryptic in their approach: “I really believe that art is this huge lie…We sing it and we dance it and we dress it every day, and me and my friends, we hope some day, we tell it enough so it becomes true.” There are other shots of the singer dancing and laughing away with friends. During the various segments she changes from one luxury outfit to the next. She believes that the controversy is worth it: “I really wanted it to be real, and I knew that MTV wanted it to be a true documentation of my life, and as someone that lives halfway between reality and fantasy, so do all my friends”. One thing about Lady Gaga is the fact that she is never boring.
