According to a leaked flyer by Sprint, it was stated that BlackBerry Bold 9930 will be available at $249. For most this may be false news but on the other hand, Verizon is all set to launch its BlackBerry Bold flagship.
Similar to the offer by Sprint, the device will be available at $249 with a two year contract.
The new device is expected to be the best BlackBerry has offered till date. The BlackBerry 7 OS is reported to have some key features that previous OS didn’t have. It is user friendly and brings a new height of flexibility to the UI. Furthermore it has been reported that the new 7 OS lacks some key features which should have been present in it.
Nevertheless, making consistent breakthrough in new technology, it is obvious that RIM is making its presence felt strongly in the mobile market. Excitement is in the air as people are excited to get their hands on the first ever QNX Smartphone from RIM.
The new touch and text Blackberry is equipped with a 2.8 inch 640 x 480 touch screen. The QWERTY keyboard is the same as it is in most BlackBerry phones. Furthermore, Bold 9930 also has a 5 megapixel camera which is capable of video recording in 720p. The processor of the phone is 1.2 GHz.
However, a fact that holds true regarding RIM is that they are a little slow in developing there hardware which has made them take a back seat among their competitors. As there are so many leading mobile companies which already have introduced dual and multicore chips with the high quality camera up to 8 mega pixel and much more like 3D video cameras capable of 1080p.
However, RIM said they are working on their hardware to improve them .Furthermore, the company is excited about the new launch and is expecting that users will find the new OS user friendly.
