Update Released for Gmail App with New Features

Google has released an update for its Gmail app for Android devices while adding new features that aims to preserve battery life of the devices.

The latest Gmail App 2.3.5 ensures to improve the performance while providing customization facility. With this update users can now set “Show Pictures” for certain senders. Thus, this feature allow users to skip the additional step to go through the entire email. The Gmail app also has a new logo and is currently available for handsets running on Android 2.2 or higher on Android Marketplace.

Generally, the Gmail app opts for synchronizing emails from the last four days to include emails for all labels. The latest update only synchronizes Priority Mails, thereby saving both battery life and data connection bandwith. With this nominal tweak, users can stay updated very quickly with important emails while saving the battery life to make sure that device runs longer.

While changing between the orientations of screen users can turn off Sticky Messages action option o view content uninterrupted. Lastly, users can now assign special ringtones to each filter or label as they have assigned in their Gmail. This will surely help users to keep them updated about their labeled and filtered mails.
