Ceglia recently sued Facebook’s owner Mark Zuckerberg. The resident from New York claimed that he made certain investments that make him the owner of about 50 percent shares in the multibillion dollar worth company. He came up with documents that showed evidence of him making investments, the same documents that Zuckerberg’s lawyer call fake and forged.

Ceglia’s lawyers just recently backed out and stopped supporting him due to insufficient evidence. But it was revealed today that Ceglia hasn’t given up yet. He has now hired a new lawyer to back his case. Jeffery Lake will now be representing Ceglia on his case. Before Jeffery, big firms like Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman and DLA Piper were supporting his case. However, until recently, they decided to completely pull out. The names of the lawyers were confirmed through the direct filing made in the U.S District court.

The new filing made against the case, which explains the switch of lawyers, did not offer much explanation over why the switch was made. Both the attorneys from the firms declined to comment on why they left the case. The two sides, Facebook and Ceglia, will face each other in court on this Thursday. The hearing will involve discussion against whether Facebook does own Ceglia the shares or not. Previously, Ceglia went through truth testing that showed positive results. According to reports, Facebook’s very own forensic team has now got the complete access of computer that holds the documents proving Cegila’s share in Facebook. Ceglia recently delayed the hearing for three weeks, in order to allow him time to prepare. There has been no ruling from the court as yet.

The documents that were presented to Facebook were titled ‘Work for hire’, which were issued in 2003. The contract had two names inscribed on it, Mark Zuckerberg and Ceglia. At the time of the contract, Zuckerberg was still a student at the Harvard University.
