Llano vs Sandy Bridge

May 18, 2011 by: 0

In a little while AMD will release the Fusion Llano processors architecture with integrated graphics. For those of you who are unaware, we are talking about dual, tri and quad-core K10.5 generation which natively integrates DDR3 at 1600 MHZ and GPU Redwood ( from Radeon HD 5670, HD 5570 and Hd5550 ) controllers.

More details about these processors were not revealed yet. But AMD wanted to prove their supremacy, especially when it comes to multitasking, compared even with the excellent Sandy Bridge processors from Intel. And for this AMD chose a CPU A8-3510MX ( quad core at 1,8GHZ with Radeon HD 6620M GPU ), which they compared with a Intel Core i7 2630QM ( quad core at 2 GHZ, HD Graphics 3000 1100 MHZ GPU ).

Both are creating using the 32 nm technological process. And they are both dedicated to the notebook market. But the AMD does much better in games, running the Final Fantasy fragment excellently. In Excel things are more balanced. When when it comes to powerful multitasking operations, Intel is starting to lose ground, the last application being practically useless.

But the advantage of the Llano processor is not only performance, but also the power requirements which is much less. But enough talk, as we think it’s better for you to watch the video below.
