Four times more PC tablets will be sold this year compared to 2010, according to the estimates made by the Gartner market research company. Further more, 108 million tablets will be sold in 2012, according to Reuters.
The market share of Apple will be of 47% in 2015, from 69% currently, while Google will win around 20% in this period.
Also, according to the same company, Android will become the most popular smartphones operating system and to most viable for tablets manufactured by companies that have not developed their own operating systems.
Apple estimated that they have sold around 1 million iPad 2 units in the first weekend. Its most closest rival is Samsung, who sold a similar number of Galaxy tab tablets in the last three months.
