EBAY – Make Money At Home

If you wish to make a full time income out of selling on eBay, or you are just looking for a second income, or as a hobbyist, you can fulfill your goals of earning big bucks on eBay.

  • Pre-requisites: A realistic approach, positive attitude and well defined goals are a definite pre-requisite to making money on eBay. This is so because, everyday so many new people start with the eBay dream but end up making nothing. So, be focused, but at the same time learn to have fun while you do what you are doing.
  • Getting Started: So, now that you have the right mood and attitude towards it all it’s time to get registered with eBay. This you can do by going to eBay.com. Familiarize yourself with the website’s look and feel. Browse through to the buyers and seller’s comments and study them. Search for your favorite items by putting the keywords in the search box situated at the top of the screen. See what people are selling.
  • Set up your own Workspace: All the above said and done, you actually need a workspace to store and keep your stuff. Having a place to organize your references is one of the most important things to do if you wish to earn money over eBay.

TIPS AND TRICKS OF MAKING MONEY ON EBAY

So, though you now know ways of making money on eBay, still making good money is an art of sorts. The eBay auctions are a favorite place for anybody who is looking for a place to make good money. Here you can sell (rather auction) all kinds of products and generate some serious income.
Even if, you already have a business, you can earn still more money using eBay. The reason behind this is that once you sign up for an eBay account and list your item, you have a massive audience of hundreds of millions of registered users who could be eager to buy your stuff.
Well, here are some tips and tricks that can earn you decent money on eBay:

  • Generating qualified leads for an existing business: Though, a listed that is well presented may result in only a single winner, however it will be seen by many more people than those who actually make a bid.
You can actually take advantage of this by providing your website’s link from your eBay “About Me” page. In your auction listing you can include a link to your About Me page.
  • Sell off your retail floor model: You can use eBay to keep the stock at your retail store or website fresh so that it can be sold at a full price. Use eBay in order to clear out the old stock that you need to discount.
  • Scourge the yard sales: Sell the in-demand items purchased at yard sales and thrift stores. Check the hot selling items at eBay and search these second-hand sales, which could often be selling items that are very much popular and can be obtained at these sales at a fraction of the costs. Also, wholesalers may be having these items, which can be purchased at a low cost from them.
  • Flea market collectibles: Originally eBay started as a place for buying and selling collectibles. These items being much in demand, you can sell collectibles found at the flea markets.
  • Resell on profit: Often, you would be able to buy items at a much lesser price on auction sites that do not get much traffic and then resell them on eBay for a profit.
  • Buy in bulk – sell individual: Bulk packages would always fetch a lower price as compared to individual items. So, buying in bulk and then listing and selling them individually can fetch you some decent profit.
  • International Markets: Tap into the international market when you do not find buyers for your stuff in your local area. If some item has no buyer in your local area does not mean that there isn’t anybody who would like to buy the stuff. So, span the geographical boundaries and try selling your stuff the world over.
  • Sell ‘fad’ items: Passing trends offer you a tremendous opportunity and you can take advantage of these trends and the likings for such fad items to make a quick buck. So, it’s not unusual to hear of people bidding thousands of dollars for an item just because it is a fashion statement or is the latest trend. Of course, in order to make sure that you get your share of profits out of these passing fads, you need to act fast as these trends go as quickly as they come.

Selling on eBay may not be fun all the way but once you get the hang of the business, it won’t be at all difficult and the earning potential is literally unlimited. So, go out and grab the opportunity of being the master of your time and your own business.

I've been using eBay since 1995, and have also found it a great way to make money, it was a gold mine back in the day because many people didn't use it yet which was great for buying/selling regional products at trade shows and then on eBay, but it's still great today.
