Patriot Wildfire SSD devices

Patriot is getting ready to release the Wildfire SSD storage devices, about which they are saying that they are going to be the fastest they ever made. Wildfire SSD devices are going to be released on the market in the second half of 2011.

They are using the SandForce SF-2200 controller to reach a 500 MB/sec transfer speed, in reading and writing.

Capacitatile promise sunt de 64 GB, 128 GB si respectiv 256 GB, iar pentru a permite aceste performante a fost necesara utilizarea interfetei SATA 600. Noile Wildfire-uri vin in format de 2.5″, si sunt livrate cu un adaptor de 3.5″ pentru a putea fi folosite atat in sisteme notebook cat si desktop. Preturile inca nu au fost dezvaluite.

The promised capacities are 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB, and to allow these performances they had to use the SATA 600 interface. The new Wildfire SSD storage devices are going to have a 2,5” format, they are delivered with a 3,5” adapter to be able to be used on notebook and desktop computers.

Patriot has not mentioned the prices of these devices yet.
