The SSD storage environments have more and more fans, and the good news about this is that they are becoming smaller as dimensions. Much smaller.
The newest SSDs from Intel, SSD 310, provides the same performance as the X25 models that appeared before them, however from the dimensions point of view they are 8 times smaller.
The new drives, that were conceived for notebooks, tablets or industrial and military devices have the following dimensions: 51×40 mm and they are only 5mm wide.
Until now, Intel has signed partnerships for the SSD 310 series with Lenovo, who wants to integrate these drives in the next ThinkPad generation.
Intel wants to deliver the new drives to hardware manufacturers in quantities of 1000 units, with capacities between 40 GB ( 99 dollars ) and 80 GB ( 179 dollars ).
The complete technical specifications of the Intel SSD 310 series can be found on the Intel web site.
The Intel SSD 310 is the first vale from a series of new SSD devices that will arrive starting with next year. And we are expecting them! The smaller the better.
Seria Intel SSD 310 este primul val dintr-o serie de noi SDD-uri care vor sosi incepand cu anul viitor. Iar noi le asteptam nerabdatori. Cu cat mai mici, cu atat mai bune!
