The attorney general of Texas started an official investigation against Google for suspicions of bad practices regarding the search results hierarchy.

Three web sites have complained about the fact that they appear too late in Google search results, Foundem, SourceTook and myTriggers. According to Google, these three web sites have the same lawyers as Microsoft and the Foundem company is financed by a company that has ties with Microsoft.

The Google representatives have confirmed the investigation started by the Texas authorities, and they said that they are “making efforts to explain the way in which the search engine works”
