According to Consumer Reports, one of the most prestigious publications in the United States when it comes to testing and reviewing consumer products, the iPhone 4 smartphone has serious signal problems.
Consumer Reports tested the multiple iPhone 4 smartphones, purchased from different retail stores and they spotted that all of them have the same problem: the signal loses power when the lower side of the phone is touched, and sometimes the signal disappears completely. ” This is why we don’t recommend the new iPhone 4″ Consumer Reports says.
It seems that the design of the new iPhone 4 is to blame because it conflicts with two external components of the phone. Consumer Reports tested every iPhone model released by Apple so far however they only discovered this signal problem when testing the new iPhone 4 smartphone.
Many users complained about the poor signal quality of the new iPhone as soon as it was released on the market, but Apple says that the problem is caused by the operating system and they will fix it soon through an update.
Initially, Apple advised users to avoid touching the problematic area of the phone, or to purchase Bumper – a special iPhone case. Users soon reacted to this statement from Apple and they created funny videos showing the world how to use the iPhone 4 “correctly”.
Consumer Reports said that users might avoid this problem if they use isolation tape on the left corner.
Each year Consumer Reports spends around 20 million dollars on testing and reviewing products. At the beginning of this year Consumer Reports published negative review of Lexus vehicle and this caused the vehicle in question to be removed from the market.
