More serious problems with iPhone 4!

Because of the new design of the iPhone 4 phone the antenna of the phone is incorporated in the metallic element positioned around the case, and the vulnerable case is in the area where the two external components of the antenna meet. The US publication tested all the phones manufactured until now by Apple, however iPHone 4 is the only phone they found signal problems.

Immediately after the iPhone 4 model was released on the market, on June 24, many users complained about the poor quality of the signal, but Apple officials said that this problem is caused by an software error, and they will soon release an update that will fix this problem. Initially, users were suggested to not place their hand in the lower left area of the phone or to purchase a special case named Bumper. This lead to the appearance on the Internet of many photos and movies, mostly ironical, in which iPhone 4 users were showed how to use the phone “correctly”.

A solution suggested by the testers of Consumer Reports was to conceal the lower left corner with isolating tape. Consumer Reports has an annual budget for testing purposes of more than 20 million dollars. At the beginning of the year, the magazine published a bad review about the safety of a Lexus model, which has lead to the removal of that model from the market.

According to endgadget.com, it seams that Apple officials have tried to delete the negative report from the forums.
