Microsoft-Fujitsu cloud computing partnership

Microsoft and Fujitsu want to become allies in the cloud computing area, a computer system that allows the storage and accessing data on big capacity internet servers. According to some sources, the partnership will be announced next week.

Following the partnership, Microsoft will be able to use the data centers and client data base of Fujitsu. Fujitsu will have access to Windows Azure, a Microsoft program that ensures internet access thorough the Microsoft solutions in the data centers.

Until the end of the current fiscal year, which will end on March 2011, Fujitsu wants to install platforms for cloud computing on the data centers that they hold in England, Australia, Singapore, Germany and US.

Also, Fujitsu want to invest 1,13 billion dollars in cloud computing solutions.
